Asalaa Malekum!
Senegal is a West African country bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the East, Mauritania to the North, Guinea-Bissau to the South and Mali to the West. They have very tasty peanuts and mangos. After spending a month there, peanuts and mangos just aren't the same. Of course, my taste buds weren't the only thing effected by my time there.

I spent a month in Senegal, mostly in Dakar, through a study abroad program organized by Laura Fyfe and George Mason University's CGE. Our group was composed of 11 undergrad and grad students, one nurse, one author and professor, and our amazing coordinator, Laura. No matter what we were expecting at the start of our journey, I know that each of us brought back a little bit of Senegal when we returned home.
